L'Atelier Pom was born at home, with Oswald and Yumi.
Two black and tan Pomeranians: tiny Yumi, and Oswald, a little sturdier. Two double coats to look after every week, and one question that kept coming back: why does this dog, who looks so well brushed, have knots behind the ears?
The answer comes down to one word: undercoat. Pomeranians wear a second coat under the first, as dense as wool. An ordinary brush never reaches it. The dog looks perfect on the surface, and underneath, dead hair builds up until it forms knots stuck to the skin.
You rarely learn this when you buy your puppy. That's why we created the atelier.
What we decided to do
A few things, done well. Not a catalogue of 200 products for every dog in the world. The three tools groomers use on a double coat, and the method to use them at home in ten minutes.
